ALMS race at Road America!!!

The seventh round of the ALMS race at Road America on Sunday, August 19 was one of the closest finishes ever in the American LeMans Series. Frank Biela, driving the number two Champion Racing Audi R8, pulled off an amazing pass in the closing laps to secure the third consecutive win for himself and teammate Emanuele Pirro. The Champion Racing sister car, driven by JJ Lehto and Marco Werner, (pictured here with Werner driving)were able to hold on to win third place even after they were assessed a twenty second penalty. The top three finishers were all less than five seconds apart, which is unbelievable considering the length of the race.
